The Publicity Secretary of the Anambra State Chapter of Young Progressives Party (YPP) Prince Oforbuike Okoli-Egbo, says that the party’s presidential candidate, Ado Malik Ibrahim, will eventually form an alliance with other parties to win the 2023 presidential election.
While having a chat with ExpressDay over the 2023 general elections, the Orumba South Constituency candidate of YPP in the Anambra State House of Assembly Election in 2015, asserted that the yearning of the citizens for a new political leadership order was expedient beyond words.
“It is my firm belief that power comes from God. From all indications, majority of Nigerians yearn for a paradigm shift, from old to new order”, he submitted.
While commenting on the suitability of YPP for this envisaged order, Prince Okoli-Egbo said: “I am a party man and wouldn’t want to put the cart before the horse.
“YPP has a credible presidential candidate in the person of Prince Ado Malik Ibrahim but the idea of a political alliance should not be jettisoned”.
On the imposition of taxes on the pasting of burial posters in Anambra State, the politician had this to say: “I have not been fully briefed on the rationale behind the policy but Governor Charles Soludo is running a responsible Government, I am more concerned with his developmental agenda especially on security than worry about mere posters.
“Post-COVID, I am aware Anambra State passed certain laws on conduct of burial in Anambra, I want to believe that the 100k fine is part of implementing an existing law”, he said.
