In a manner reminiscent of the scintillating streak of his late father, General Bolivia Osigbemhe’s musical prowess, the scion of the legend, Constance Bolivia Osigbemhe, popularly known as Young Bolivia, has promised to dazzle music lovers with unparalleled entertainment this yuletide.
In a chat with Expressday on Saturday, Young Bolivia avvered that the people need recreation as much as they need money, adding that he will give music lovers unmitigated fun and release a new album on Christmas Day.
“My band and I will give Afemai people real fun this Christmas. We will also be playing overseas in January”, Young Bolivia told this Reporter.
A chart he released to this newspaper depicted a very busy schedule. It is pack full from the beginning of December to the end of January. Some of the places he is scheduled to perform include, Ogbona, Ikabigbo, Afashio, Okpella, Uromi, Agenebode and Iyuku, all in Afemailand, Edo State..
In Ogbona, as the chart shows, the dexterous Artiste is doing three shows in three days consecutively.
On the 1st of January, Young Bolivia will perform in Ibie in the afternoon, then proceed to Omadimhe family on the 2nd. From there , the Man who fans fondly call Awinophie, will play on the 3rd and 6th of January, in Ogbona in the afternoon and January 18, he will perform live in the United Kingdom.
When Expressday sought to know the title of the new album, Young Bolivia said he wouldn’t let the cat out of the bag until Christmas Day.
“It’s my Christmas gift to Afemai people and my followers all over the world”, he enthused.
As investigations reveal, this chip off the old block has not only sustained the musical accomplishments of General Bolivia Osigbemhe who went to the great beyond over thirty years ago, but has improved upon them remarkably.
“Album after album, show after show, Awinophie has continued to cause wonderful recreation in this part of the world. His music is laced with Etsako idioms and his songs are highly danceable”, Ranti Adekinle, a Yoruba fan of Young Bolivia told this Reporter.
In his own remarks, Ibrahim Abu another ardent follower of the Musician had this to say: “I collect Young Bolivia’s songs, so I can’t wait for this new one to be released. Apart from the entertainment value of his songs, he questions the wrong actions of our politicians and I think his songs are making politicians in Etsako to sit up”.
