The Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Ede Dafinone, has congratulated Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda on his emergence as the newly elected National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Professor Yilwatda was unanimously affirmed by the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC), during its meeting chaired by President Bola Tinubu in Abuja on Thursday, a development Senator Dafinone describes as both timely and strategic for the APC.
According to the Senator, who is a staunch member of the APC, “Professor Yilwatda brings to this role a rare combination of academic excellence, technocratic expertise, and public service experience.
“His recent stewardship as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, coupled with his background in electoral management, positions him to steer the APC towards greater unity, reform, and innovation.”
Senator Dafinone via a statement on his social media handles, also commended the outgoing Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, for his service and the peaceful leadership transition, which he said reflects the party’s growing democratic maturity.
“As a committed stakeholder in the APC and Senator representing the good people of Delta Central, I look forward to working closely with the new leadership to deepen grassroots engagement, strengthen party structures, and advance our shared vision for national development,” he stated.
