President Muhammadu Buhari today met with former Minister of Finance and Coordinator of the Economy, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Okonjo-Iweala is in the final lap of the race for the headship of the 25 year-old World Trade Organization (WTO), along with South Korea’s Yoo Myung-hee.
She was accompanied to the Villa by the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Niyi Adebayo and the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Zubair Dada; as well as the Minister of State, Industry Trade and Investment, Maryam Katagun.
President Buhari has since expressed his support and that of his administration for Okonjo-Iweala in her effort to clinch the top job.
