Wanted crime kingpin, ‘Gana’, killed in Benue

Wanted Benue State militant gang leader, Terwase Akwaza, alias ‘Gana’, has been killed.

He had been declared wanted by security agencies for alleged murder and sundry crimes since 2016.

While military authorities claim that he was killed in a gun battle with soldiers yesterday afternoon, Governor Sam Ortom of Benue State told journalists that ‘Gana’ was seized by soldiers from a convoy of repentant militants on its way to the Government House in Makurdi for surrender/peace meeting.

Commander of the Four Special Forces command, Brigadier General Maude Ali Gadzama, insisted that ‘Gana’ was gunned down in a battle with soldiers.
