The Ovie of Ughelli Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Dr. Wilson Oharisi lll and Delta State Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Jamani Ejiro have advised youths in Ughelli to maintain the existing peace in order to attract more development to the kingdom.
HRM Oharisi lll and the Commissioner gave this advice during the fourth edition of the Oke Umurhohwo Football Competition held at the Ughelli township stadium, Ughelli North local government area of Delta State.
The traditional ruler speaking further, commended Oke Umurhohwo for organizing the football competition in Ughelli which has further united the youths in the past four years since the competition began.
The Ovie of Ughelli who was represented by the Otota (Spokesman) of Ughelli Kingdom, Olorogun Peter Akpofure charged the youths and participants not to give up with their dreams, emphasizing that more opportunities would come for them to play football beyond the borders of Ughelli and Nigeria at large.
Olorogun Peter Akpofure congratulated the sponsor of the competition and also the winners, Solution FC for lifting the trophy.
Also speaking, the Organiser and Sponsor of the fourth edition of the Oke Umurhohwo football competition, Hon. Oke Umurhohwo disclosed that the football competition was aimed at bringing the youths of Ughelli and Delta central to showcase their talents and become stars.
Umurhohwo noted that it was time for the youths in Ughelli to shun violence and embrace peace while emphasizing that peace attract development to community, pointing out that the competition is opened to everyone and will continue to be held annually.
While congratulating the winner of the fourth edition of the competition,
Solution FC, Hon. Umurhohwo wished the people of Ughelli Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year in advance.
Presenting the trophy to the winners, the Commissioner for Environment, Hon Jamani Ejiro congratulated the organizer and winner of the competition and charged the youths to be good ambassadors of Ughelli Kingdom and shun all forms of crime related issues.
The captain of Solution FC, Mr Owanro Lawson said he was very happy his team won the football competition and gave glory to God.
Solution FC lifted the trophy after defeating Royal Oghale by 2 goals to 1.
