Twenty four hours after his inauguration, President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday arrived the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja to start his official duties as Nigeria’s 16th leader since Independence.
His motorcade arrived at the main gate of the president’s office at about 2.30 pm when he inspected the customary Quarter Guards sentet mounted by the Brigade of Guards.
He, thereafter, took a short drive to the forecourt of the office where he was received by a welcome party led by Vice President Kashim Shettima.
Also present were the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila; and the Permanent Secretary of the State House, Tijjani Umar.
There were also the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele; the Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Mele Kyari; former Lagos State Commissioner for Finance, Mr Wale Edun; Mr. Dele Alake; Hon. James Faleke.
Thereafter, Tinubu went into closed door meeting with the NNPC boss and his CBN counterpart.
