The Nasarawa State Governor, Engr Abdullahi Sule, has said that he will not interfere in the dethronement and deposition saga of the former Emir of Kano, Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi.

While addressing Kano traders resident in Nasarawa state in Karu, the governor said that he was not aware of the issues surrounding the dethronement of the former Emir, hence, will not involve himself in any way in the matter.

Governor Sule said that his government only did it best by trying to make the dethrone Emir comfortable by providing a safe place for him to stay, being a visitor to the government and people of Nasarawa State.

He noted that Nasarawa State is known for its hospitality, hence, have received the deposed Emir with open arms.

” I want to tell you that as regards our Emir, we do not know what went wrong between him and the governor to warrant his dethronement and banishment, as such, we have a little or no responsibility more than the courtesy we had extended to him on his arrival in the state,” Governor Sule said.
