The Chairman of Bwari Area Council, Hon (Dr) John Gabaya, has advised Muslim Umma to optimise the gains Eid-El-Kabir by prioritizing on the virtues of peace,love and unity in their individual and societal lives.
This was part of the message the Executive Chairman shared with Muslims on the occasion of the 2024 Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
In a Sallah message signed by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS) Agada Ernest Godwin and made available to Expressday on Sunday in Bmuko, Dutse, Bwari, Abuja, Gabaya said “Eid-el-Kabir is a Season of love, peace, friendship and sacrifice urging Bwari People and Nigerians at large to make the necessary sacrifices for a better future, acknowledging the challenges posed by the current economic reforms.
He emphasized that the values of tolerance, sacrifice and love for Allah and fellow human beings are more relevant and necessary than ever before in the nation and the world today, stating that everyone has a stake in a peaceful and prosperous society where they can live, earn their livelihoods, worship their creator in different ways and realize the reason for their existence.
The Chairman also called for prayers for those performing the Holy Pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia, expressing hope for their safe return. “I hope and pray that Almighty God will reward their acts of worship and grant them journey mercies as they return home at the end of the pilgrimage “. He stated
“On behalf of my family, the people of Bwari Area Council, I congratulate our Muslim faithful on this important feast of Eid-el-Kabir and wish the people of Bwari Area Council a peaceful and joyous celebration”, he prayed.
Gabaya also extended his congratulations to Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration, praying for divine wisdom and strength for the Minister to fulfil his promises.
