The House of Representatives will today (Tuesday) begin its investigative hearing into Nigeria’s suspension of the operations of microblogging site, Twitter.
The hearing will hold at the instance of the joint Senate and House Committees on Communication, Justice and Information; National Orientation, Ethics & Values and National Security & Intelligence.
Some of the invited stakeholders include; the Minister of Information, Culture and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, as well as Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), among others.
A ban was initially announced by the Federal Government, on June 4, 2021 before it modified its stance to a suspension.
