The national secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja has been sealed off by the police as the leadership crisis raging in the ruling party worsens.
Policemen were said to have been deployed to the Wuse II premises of the party on the orders of the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu on Tuesday.
Several party officials been have been laying claim to the acting national chairman position of the party since the Court of Appeal affirmed the suspension of the erstwhile APC boss, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.
Protesters have also been staging demonstrations at the party headquarters lately, demanding the sack of the National Working Committee members.
In a bid to resolve the leadership crisis threatening to tear the party apart, President Muhammadu Buhari and governors of the APC have met in last couple of days.
