The Commissioner of Police (CP), Nasarawa State Command, Bola Longe, has advised residents of the State not to panic over a shooting exercise that is billed to commence August 16, 2020, on the Ends Hills.

Longe made this known in a statement signed by the Command Spokesman, ASP Ramhan Nansel, on Friday and made available to newsmen in Lafia the state capital.

According to him, the residents of the state, particularly, the inhabitants of Endehu/Wulko village, in Nasarawa Eggon LGA should note that the commencement of a training course in the college for Course participants will engaged in series of activities including shooting range and jungle survival, amongst others.

“In view of the above, movement of combat operatives to the training ground as well as sound of gunshots will be expected,” he pointed.

The CP, therefore called for calm, urging members of the public to go about their daily activities without panic as this, he said, is a regular training exercise for personnel of the Nigeria Police Force.

It would be recalled that few days ago, President Mohammadu Buhari, commissioned the Police Mobile Force Training College, located at Ende Hills, in Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area of the state.
