Osinachi who hails from Achi Mbieri in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo State said he joined the gang following promises that they will build him a house but added that after joining, it became threats.
He said: “What makes me to be here is I joined the ESN (Eastern Security Network). The policemen caught me, we are more than seven. We came out this morning by 4am to attack officers. Along the line, they now traced us.
“I joined three days ago. Dragon our leader called me to join them and when I saw their operations I told him I wanted to leave but he threatened that he will shock me if I sabotage them. Yesterday I told him I wanted to go for a hair cut but he refused and said he will shoot me down.”
Further, he said their slain commander, late Dragon, said that funding came from abroad in addition to that which they forcefully collect from people.
