
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested 34 cultists while having their regular meetings at Gwako, Gwagwalada Area Council.
Curiously, the most elderly among the 34 cultists is 32 years, all others are within the rage of 19 and 27 years.
Some of the arrested suspected cultists are current and former students of different tertiary institutions.
A statement signed by the Spokesman of the FCT Police Command, Manzah Anjugiri, disclosed that two locally made pistols and some charms were recovered from the scene as exhibits.
“As part of the ongoing measures to curb the menace of cultism in the Federal Capital Territory, the FCT Police Command on Sunday March 15, 2020, at about 0750hrs, acting on tip-off arrested some suspected cultists at their hideout in Gwako, Gwagwalada Area Council.
“The suspects numbering about 34 were arrested around Gwako hills while having their cult meeting. Two locally made pistols and some charms were recovered from the scene as exhibits.
They will be arraigned in court upon the conclusion of the investigation.
