The NIgeria Police Council meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari, has confirmed Mr. Usman Baba as Inspector-General of Police (IGP).
Minister of Police Affairs, Alhaji Maigari Dingyadi, announced this to newsmen at the end of the Council’s at the State House, Abuja.
The Minister said Buhari directed the IGP to ensure insecurity is brought to the barest minimum across the country.
Baba was a Deputy-Inspector General of Police before he was appointed acting IGP by Buhari on April 6, 2021.
