In continuation of its avowal to subjugate insecurity, the Nigeria Police Force, earlier today, forced insurgents operating in Idemili South local government area of Anambra State to submission and recovered “four AK-47 rifles and 219 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition”.
In a news release signed by force Public Relations Officer ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi and made available to Expressday, the NPF said, “in the early hours of today, Tuesday 12th March 2024, Police at Nnobi, Idemili South LGA, Anambra State, while on patrol with Vigilante men in Awka Etiti engaged insurgents operating with a Toyota Highlander in a shootout.
“One of the insurgents was arrested with gunshot.
“Four AK-47 Rifles and 219 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition were recovered”.
