Operatives of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command have burst a notorious kidnapping gang that has been involved in series of kidnapping recently.
They were arrested along Tungan-Maje, Bwari and Kwali –Kuje axis.
The Command disclosed this in a statement signed by its Spokesperson, Mariam Yusuf, in Abuja, Sunday.
The suspects, the statement said, belong to a notorious syndicate of kidnappers who were involved in the recent abductions along Bwari-Byzahin, Kuje-Kwali axis and Niger State.
The suspects include Usman Musa, 20 years; Bello Musa, 21; and Haruna Alhassan, 22 years.
Exhibits recovered included N1,275,000 which was paid to them as ransom by their victims, 3 mobile phones, charms, 3 wrist watches and two caps.
In a related development, 25-year-old Lawal Abdullahi and Abdul Alhassan, 19 years, have been arrested for being linked to the kidnappings along Tunga-maje axis.
The duo, the statement said, have since confessed to have threatened some residents of Tunga-Maje to pay ‘ransom’ to avoid being kidnapped.
All the suspects will be arraigned in court upon conclusion of investigation.
