The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Alkali Baba, has announced the arrest of 13 more suspects in connection with the crisis in Plateau states.
This brings the total number of suspects arrested to 33.
Recall that yesterday (Sunday), the IGP announced the arrest of 20 suspects over the crisis.
A statement by the Force Spokesman, Frank Mba, in Abuja, Monday, disclosed that the IGP ordered deployment of a police surveillance helicopter,  two units of Police Mobile Force (PMF) and two cells of Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU) to the State.
The IGP, however,  assured Nigerians that the Nigeria Police Force remained committed to working with other patriotic stakeholders toward restoring public order in Plateau and other parts of the country.
The surveillance helicopter is expected to carry out aerial surveillance and confidence-boosting patrols within the hotspots in coordinated operations with the ground troops.
It would further be recalled that following the crisis that resulted in the killing of scores of persons last weekend in the Rukuba area of Jos South local government area, the Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong, announced the imposition of curfew in three local governments areas including Jos North, Bassa and Jos South.
Jos North was slammed with 24-hour indefinite curfew, while Jos North and Jos South got 12 hours each.
