The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, has arrested one Puta Vitus, in connection to the killing of the staff of the Abuja Electric Distribution Company (AEDC).
It would be recalled that the suspect allegedly attacked and stabbed his victim with a knife at Pasali, Kabusa, on Tuesday.
The arrest, according to a statement by the Command Spokesman, Manzah Anjuguri, was “consequent upon a distress call received on February 25, 2020, at about 1444hrs at Kabusa Division that the suspect armed with a knife inflicted serious injuries on two AEDC staff who were deployed to the community on official assignment. The knife has been recovered as an exhibit.
“As a result of the incident, one 50-years-old, Ibrahim Garba Haji, a staff of AEDC, who was stabbed on the chest, was certified dead at the hospital where he was rushed to for medical attention. Meanwhile, the second victim is still on hospital admission.
“The Command has since commenced a discreet investigation into the incident and the suspect, according to statement will be arraigned in court upon the conclusion of the investigation.”
