Twelve suspected looters have been arrested in Abuja by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command.
They were arrested along Gosa-Lugbe axis of the capital city.
A statement by the FCT Police Command spokesperson, ASP Yusuf Mariam, said the suspects who took advantage of the “current situation”, were arrested during a joint patrol at an estate in Gosa while attempting to escape with looted items.
The suspects, according to her, will be arraigned in court upon conclusion of investigation
While enjoining residents to remain law-abiding, the Command reiterated its commitment to the protection of lives and property within the FCT.
