Public accountability advocate, Paradigm Leadership Support Initiative (PLSI), in conjunction with a coalition of Civil Society Organizations, as implementing partners, will this Thursday host the maiden edition of the ‘Nigeria Accountability Summit’ (NAS) 2023, in Abuja.
The theme of the summit is ‘Institutionalizing Accountability for Effective Public Administration in Nigeria’, according to a statement issued by PLSI ahead of the flagship event scheduled to hold at the iconic Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Center, in the nation’s capital.
It explained that the Nigeria Accountability Summit focuses on six domains, including Social, Financial, Political, Administrative, Ethical and Legal accountability systems in Nigeria.
Procurement and Administrative Associate at PLSI, Ifeoma Onuoha, stressed that “the Summit is designed to bring together field experts and policymakers to connect these domains with sectoral challenges impeding sustainable development and identify policy solutions that address these challenges”.
She added that the summit would be largely interactive among stakeholders participating from across the country, with the intent of broadening and strengthening public accountability processes in Nigeria.
