The serial killer, Mr. Gracious David-West, who chalked up many victims in Port Harcourt and its environs in Rivers State, has been sentenced to death by a court.
His modus operandi included strangulating his female victims in hotel rooms, but his fate now is to hang by the neck until declared dead.
Justice Adolphus Enebele of the Port Harcourt High Court, handed down the maximum sentence after about six months of trial.
Delivering his judgement on Friday, Enebele said the suspect was convicted of the murder of 11 young women and attempted murder of another victim identified as Benita Etim in a hotel in 2019.
Enebele stated that the prosecution team was able to convince the court that David-West actually killed all eleven women at various hotel rooms in Port Harcourt and other parts of the state.
The court however discharged and acquitted the second defendant in the case, Nimi ThankGod, who faced a one-count charge of misconduct with the corpse of one of David-West’s victims.
