Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo has tested negative to Covid-19, according to his media aide, Laolu Akande.
Osinbajo’s test results came in this morning, two days after Abba Kyari, Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, tested positive to the disease.
The Vice-President has opted for virtual engagements and video conferencing with other senior government officials in place of essential meetings for the time being.
Anxiety has spread in Aso Rock Villa, following the development, and all those who may have come in contact with Kyari, have been advised to self-isolate for 14 days.
Activities at the Villa have been scaled down drastically while journalists allowed to cover presidential engagements have been pruned from about 100 to less than 20 for the next 14 days.
