Two days after a faction of the party in Olomu Ward 1 in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State condemned him for suing the party, Chief Milton Ohwovoriole (SAN), has secured a vote of confidence from the Executive Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the ward.
Speaking at a press briefing on Sunday, the Acting Chairman of the ward, Mr. Samson Akparobo, who was joined by the Women leader, Ms Felicia Eseoghene and Youth leader, Mr. Aheroghene Clifford Oluku, stated that there was never a meeting or a forum of the executive were a vote of no confidence was passed on Ohwovoriole.
He said those who passed the purported vote of no confidence on the Ward leader, has no such power and should be disregarded.
According to him: “As the acting chairman of the Olomu Ward 1, Federal Ward 4, after due consultation with other Exco members and leaders of the ward, we hereby pass a vote of confidence on Chief Milton Ohwovoriole SAN.
“He remains our leader and a major stakeholder in the ward and in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). I therefore call on the general public, PDP members from the world to disregard such vote of no confidence”.
Mr. Samson however warned those behind such acts to stop such ignominious and over zealousness, and to always wait on the appropriate authority before rushing to do things.
