The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, has been re-elected for another tenure.
In the state gubernatorial election conducted on Saturday, he beat his closet rival and candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu by 307,955 votes to 223, 619 votes.
He joined the PDP just before the election after he was screened out of the primaries of his former party, the APC.
