The National Security Adviser (NSA), retired Major General Babagana Monguno, on Tuesday announced that President Muhammadu Buhari, again plans to overhaul of the nation’s security architecture following his dissatisfaction over the worsening security situation in the country.
Monguno disclosed this while briefing journalists on the outcome of the meeting of the National Security Council presided over by the President at the Aso Rock Villa.
The President, according to the NSA, reaffirmed his last marching orders to the nation’s security chiefs on the grounds that their best effort was not good enough.
Monguno said Buhari noted that Nigerians had lost confidence in the security sector and he was determined to restore that confidence.
