The Senator representing Nasarawa South Senatorial district and the immediate past Governor of Nasarawa State, Dr. Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, has said that there is no rift between him and the current governor of the state, Engr Abdullahi Sule.
Those expecting such, he said, will wait for a long time without their expectations coming to pass.
According to him, both of them have come a long way to be separated by mere insinuations.
Al-Makura stated this at an event organised by stakeholders of Lafia in appreciation of Governor Sule for appointing the current Secretary to the State Government (SSG) who is one of their illustrious sons.
Senator Al-Makura warned that those who are always peddling lies and fake news should rethink, noting that nothing will separate him and the incumbent governor.
Al-Makura restated his support and commitment to the administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule, stressing that their relationship will continue to remain intact for the growth and development of the state.
“Giving the pedigree of the SSG who was the first democratically elected chairman of Lafia Local Government Area, since the returned of democracy in 1999,we know he will not fail.
“This is why whenever Barr. Mohammed Aliyu Ubandoma is in bad or good times, a lot of people are seen around him simply because of his character and ability to handle whatever is entrusted to his care,” Al-Makura said.
Speaking, Governor Abdullahi Sule reiterated that he has tremendous respect for his elders, seniors and bosses, stating that he was raised as a prince and therefore was taught to respect everyone.
Governor Sule who was overwhelmed by the large crowd of people from Lafia who came to thank him, assured that he will continue to work hard for the general interest of residents of the state.
ExpressDay reports that the event was attended by dignitaries from all works of life both within and outside the state.
In another development, the people of Doma Local Government Area have paid the governor a ‘thank you visit’ over the nomination of one of their own, Mr Henry John Omaku, who was recently screened as Ambassador designate.
