The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has itemized some programs it is embarking on to boost material prosperity and financial independence in the coming years.
According to a press release signed by its new Director of Public Relations and Chairman of the Abuja Chapter of the professional body, Stanley Ogadigo and made available to ExpressDay in Abuja on Friday, the NIPR President, Dr. Ike Neliaku, made this disclosure during a virtual interactive session with stakeholders to mark his 120 days in office.
The release quotes Neliaku as saying that NIPR under his leadership will be “enterprise -driven”.
It read in part: “Dr. Ike Neliaku says the Institute under his leadership is exploring options to make the body enterprise-driven, a move he says would enable it to generate required revenue to execute developmental projects and programmes.
“The Institute’s boss explained that the bold step to establish NIPR energy, aviation, maritime, banking hubs, as well as insurance, pension and enterprise hubs were aimed at improving the economic base of the Institute.
“While expressing his gratitude to members and stakeholders on their roles towards significant progress recorded on creation of Public Relations cadre in civil service scheme, the President said the essence of the town hall meeting, titled NIPR Arena was in line with his transparency and accountability principles of leadership.
“He said that the Institute has strategically designed series of projects and programmes to reclaim the reputation of the country, one of which is the maiden edition of the National Spokespersons Summit scheduled to hold in March, 2024”.
