Nigeria’s Covid-19 cases top 50,000

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Wednesday night announced 593 new cases of Covid-19 bringing Nigeria’s Coronavirus pandemic to over 50,000 cases.

Data from the centre showed that 37,304 patients have been successfully treated and discharged. 985 deaths have been recorded.

A breakdown of the new cases showed that Plateau has186, Lagos-172, FCT-62, Oyo-27, Delta-25, Rivers-20, Ondo-19, Edo-18, Kaduna-17, Enugu-12, Akwa Ibom-10 and Ogun-7.

Others are Abia-6, Gombe-6, Kano-3 and Osun-3.

It brought the total number of confirmed cases to 50,488.
