The Federal Polytechnic Auchi, Edo State is currently playing host to a team from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) which is in Auchi for Institutional and academic programmes accreditation.
Announcing this in a statement made available to ExpressDay on Monday, the Rector, Dr Salisu Shehu Umar posited that Auchi Polytechnic places premium on the accreditation of all academic programmes.
He said: “In company of the management of Auchi Polytechnic this morning, I received the team from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) for resource verification, increase in carrying capacity in select departments and academic programme accreditation.

“I thank the entire team of the NBTE led by the Executive Secretary of the Board, Prof. Idris Muhammad Bugaje and Dr. Musa Hatim Koko (Director, South-South) for their support and commitment to ensuring the standisation of the operations of the institution and the accreditation of our academic programmes both at the Ordinary National Diploma (OND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) levels.
“As an institution, we prioritise the accreditation of all our academic programmes and we have made concerted efforts in the procurement of all basic equipments as well as necessary facility upgrade in order to meet NBTE’s requirement in this visit. We are indeed, committed to move Auchi Polytechnic to greater heights”
