The Nasarawa State Government says it has concluded plans to open a portal for the registration of unemployed youth in the State in the next two weeks.
The Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Othman Bala Adam, made the revelation on Tuesday, in Lafia.
He said that the idea for the creation of the portal was arrived at due to the high number of unemployed young men and women in the State.
“Let me assure you that the exercise will be involving both the educated and uneducated unemployed youths of Nasarawa state regardless of tribe and religion.
“It is aimed at providing our teeming youths in the state the opportunity for basic skill acquisition in their areas of interest,” he added.
Bala, explained that the portal will serve as a data base for clear definition to what will add value to the state and that it will ensure that the youths take full ownership of their activities.
