The member representing Karu/Gitata in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, David Maiyaki, on Wednesday said since the past one year, he had rehabilitated over 15 boreholes in various communities in his constituency.
This, he said, was to ease the challenge clean drinking water.
He further revealed that he has also embarked on a school project which is near completion at Tatara, as well as youth empowerment programs.
Apart from all these, the lawmaker said that he has sponsored bills that have direct impact on residents of his constituency.
According to him: “I want to appreciate the state governor, Abdullahi Sule, despite our party differences, he has been instrumental and supportive of some of the programs I initiated.
“I approached him over the road from Aso linking Panda to Gitata, a bridge that collapsed .
“And as I speak with you, the collapsed bridge has been reconstructed while the road from Aso to Gitata, the governor in his wisdom met with the federal government and that road will be constructed by the federal government.”
The lawmaker, further said he has perfected plans to provide scholarship to 200 students learning in various tertiary institutions across the country.
