As the administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State gears up to mark its first year in office at the end of this month, the Government has rolled out the schedule of event starting with a press briefing.
Deputy Governor of the State who also doubles as the Chairman of the One Year Anniversary Committee, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe, announced the schedules of the event while briefing the press in Lafia on Friday.
According to the him, the anniversary would be celebrated in a low key mode due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Akabe stated that the programme would commence with Muslim prayers at the Lafia Central Mosque on Friday and Christian prayers on Sunday.
He further said: “The state Governor, Abdullahi Sule would engage Journalists in a media interactive session while Commissioners would be featured in media outfits in the state to respond to questions on their scorecards of their various ministries in the last one year.”
The Deputy Governor also pointed that the governor would inaugurate new projects in all the three Senatorial zones of the state.
He revealed that the climax of the one year celebration would be a statewide broadcast which is slated to take place on May 29, by the state Governor, Abdullahi Sule.
Fielding questions from journalists, the Deputy Governor disclosed that the government was fine-tuning modalities with other investors on how some businesses, including the Lafia Hotel, can function effectively.
