A 9-year-old girl (name withheld) has disclosed that her step father started inserting his finger into her private part since when she was four years old.
Thereafter, at age 7, she said, he started inserting his penis into her vigina.
She revealed this to newsmen in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital.
The suspect, 30- year-old Musa Abubakar Babangida, has been arrested and is currently resting at the police cell in Rivers State.
He, has, however, confessed to the crime during an interrogation at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Rivers Police Command, claiming that he was lured to the evil act after his wife refusal to have sexual relationship with him.
The victim further explained that her mother noticed discharge in her private part recently and asked what happened.
According to her, she was afraid to tell her mother of the continued defilement by her step father because the first time she told her of her experience with him, the mother beats her up.
The victim revealed that she forced the mother to know what she was experiencing in the house and was examined by neighbours before the matter was reported to the Police.
On his part, the suspect, while responding to questions from newsmen, complained that for long his wife has stopped performing her duty on the bed.
The suspect who hails from Jigawa state, committed the evil act at his residence in Rukpokwu in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state.
