A Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, Barrister Collins Ugwunebo, has praised the Military for securing the release of the remaining victims of the Abuja-Kaduna train hijack.
Speaking to ExpressDay on Friday, the law practitioner said that to get better results, achievements made so far must be commended as a way of boosting the morale of Officers and Men of the Military and para-military agencies.
“A lot of people would not appreciate how traumatic it has been for the families of those victims. I praise the Army for securing their release’, the Solicitor told ExpressDay.
The Military announced on Wednesday that the victims who have been in captivity since March have been released.
Since then, several Nigerians have been reacting even as they urge the Army to do more in protecting and defending the territorial integrity of the nation.
On reducing insecurity to the barest minimum, especially as 2023 general elections draw nearer, Barrister Ugwunebo said, “Government needs to buys sophisticated arms and ammunition for soldiers and policeman as well as give them incentives that be boosting their morale at all times”.
