In furtherance of his desire to bring democracy dividends to his people and alleviate their sufferings, the lawmaker representing the people of Etsako-West Constituency II in Edo State house of assembly, Honourable Abdulganiyu Akokhia over the weekend embarked on the inspection of some deplorable roads in the constituency.
ExpressDay learnt reliably that the inspection is a prelude to the commencement of work on the roads and it is going to be total as it will touch all parts of “Ibie and Uzairue”.
In a media release made available to Expressday on Monday, Akokhia said, “Yesterday, I embarked on an inspection tour of the Iyakpi-Ibienafe Road. The visit was a response to the concerns raised by my constituents regarding the deplorable state of the road, which has been made worse by flooding and accidents”.
Demonstrating his avowal to always match words with actions, the young parliamentarian ordered the immediate commencement of work on the roads, ” During the inspection, I approved the immediate commencement of grading of the road as a palliative measure to curb the effects of flooding and accidents. This swift intervention demonstrates my commitment to addressing the infrastructural needs of my constituency to the best of my ability”, he asserted.
Furthermore, the lawmaker said, ” also I took time to inspect the Odibie General Borehole in Iyakpi Southibie and called on the engineer to effect immediate repairs and channeling of the water for the use of the people.
