The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Tuesday confirmed 389 new cases of Covid-19 in Nigeria.

The tally nationwide is reported at 8,733 cases.

Of the new cases, Lagos recorded 256 to bring the state’s total to 4,012. Despite the lockdown measures and restrictions put in place both Federal and state governments, the rate of infections at the nation’s commercial capital have failed to slow down.
The NCDC report showed that Katsina recorded 23 new cases, Edo-22, Rivers-14, Kano-13, Adamawa-11, Akwa Ibom-11 and Kaduna-7.

Others are Kwara-6, Nasarawa-6, Gombe-2, Plateau-2, Abia-2, Delta-2 Benue-2, Niger-2, Kogi-2, Oyo-2, Imo-1, Borno-1, Ogun-1 and Anambra-1.

So far, 2501 patients have been successfully treated and discharged, while the total deaths due to the disease in the country was reported at 254.
