The lingering Jukun/Tiv crisis in Kwararafa village, Gossol local government area of Taraba State, Thursdayday claimed the lives two persons.
ExpressDay recalls that two years ago, the state government renamed Danacha village to Kwararafa.
The ownership of the village had for a long time, remained a major cause of the crisis in the area.
Apart from the two lives, several houses were burnt, many residents have also been displaced to neighbouring villages.
Sources said the latest crisis started on Wednesday when some youths from Tiv and Jukun ethnic groups attacked Danacha village and burnt some houses belonging to the two tribes.
Findings further indicated that some gunmen dressed in Army uniform stormed Kwararafa village, a predominately Jukun settlement, at about 5.30 am and shot two persons dead.
Findings reveal that the warring Jukun and Tiv Youths in Danacha and Kwararafa villages have vowed to retaliate.
