The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, has ordered the immediate deployment of two Assistant Inspectors General of Police (AIGs) to zone 3 and 12 .
Also, seven Commissioners of Police (CPs) have been deployed to different states.
The two AIGs include Sanusi Nma Lemu, who will be in charge of Zone 12, Bauchi, comprising of Bauchi, Borno and Yobe states and Gwandu H. Abubakar, to Zone 3, Yola, covering Adamawa, Gombe and Taraba states.
The seven CPs deployed to different states include Hafiz Muhammed Inuwa ,Delta State; Muri Umar Musa, Kaduna State and Mobolaji Olaniyi Fafowora who be in charge of Imo State.
Other newly deployed CPs include Agunbiade O. Lasore, Kebbi state; Johnson Babatunde Kokumo, Osun state; Ahmed Mohammed Azare, Taraba state and Ede Ayuba Ekpeji who will man Kogi state command.
In a statement signed by the Force Spokesman, Frank Mba, the IGP has called on the affected officers to improve on the successes recorded by their predecessors.
He also charged them to work with relevant stakeholders in adopting intelligence-led and community-driven crime prevention strategies in their new assignments.
On the other hand, the IGP appealed to members of the public to render support and cooperation to the incoming Police helmsmen to enable them effectively deliver on their core mandate.
