The Pastor-in-Charge of RCCG Overwhelming Love Assembly in Niger Province 2, Suleja, Fola Araba, has recounted how God delivered him from the cold hands of death several years ago.
He explained this at the surprised 50th birthday celebration held in his honour by his wife and a few family and friends.
He said: “I was traveling from Lagos to Abuja and fell into the hands of some people in a ‘one chance’ vehicle. I was strangled to death and abandoned in the bush. I suddenly saw myself in another realm walking down a lonely path when a man in white garment appeared and stopped me. He said I should go back that I don’t belong to the place I was heading to. Immediately, I came back to consciousness and gradually stood up from the ground.
“It was just the mercy of God that brought me back to life.”
Pastor Araba noted that God had also delivered him from several other near death situations including auto accidents.
He appreciated his wife and all present for the surprise birthday celebration, explaining that all he planned to do on his 50th birthday was to quietly thank God at home.
In a brief message at the occasion, the Pastor-in-Charge of RCCG Niger Province 2, Pastor Sam Ola Babalola admonished the celebrant and those present to always thank God for His mercies.
He said “wherever and whatever you are today is by the mercy of God.”
Pastor Babalola noted that for everyone who is still alive today especially in a year that has witnessed so many deaths as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, is by the mercy of God.
He prayed specially for the celebrant and his immediate family and wished them well.
