The Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule, has made a personal donation of N10 million to facilitate the separation of a conjoined twins, Hassan and Hussaini.
The conjoined twins were born at Toto Local Government Area of the state before being transferred to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Keffi, for superior management.
The governor was at the FMC, Keffi, for an unscheduled visit when he saw the conjoined twins.
Governor Sule was received by the Head of Clinical Services and other management staff of the hospital.
The head of clinical services made a slide presentation on the procedure involved to separate the twins.
Hassana and Hussaina were joined at the abdomen and a team of 35 medical experts were said to have been assembled by FMC, Keffi to perform the surgical procedure.
The surgery will cost N25 million and is billed to take place next week.
Governor Sule, who was highly emotional when he saw the twins, applauded the FMC Keffi management for having confidence in themselves to perform the surgery successful.
He, therefore, prayed that God will crown their efforts with success.
The Governor immediately went to his car and presented a personal donation of N10 million to support the separation of the twins.
