Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, has vowed that his administration will spare no efforts in tackling violent crimes in the state.
Governor Sule made the pledge at the resident of the father of the officer of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Mr Salisu Usman, who was kidnapped and killed along with his sister, Sa’adatu, Tuesday night at Gudi, the home town of the governor.
The governor’s statement was signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mallam Ibrahim Addra, and made available to newsmen in Lafia on Thursday.
Governor Abdullahi Sule prayed God to grant the souls of the deceased officer and his sister rest.
Responding on behalf of the deceased family, the former Minister of Information and National Secretary, All Progressive Grant Alliance (APGA), Mr. Labaran Maku, thanked the governor for the visit while calling for sustained efforts to rid the state of criminal elements.
