Barrister Mohammed Ubandoma Aliyu has been appointed the new Secretary to the Nasarawa State Government, by the Governor, Abdullahi Sule.
The appointment takes effect from Wednesday, as stated in the letter of appointment which was made available to journalists on Wednesday in Lafia, the State capital
According to the statement, Barrister Mohammed Ubandoma Aliyu will be responsible for assisting the government achieve its vision, advise and provide guidance on policy implementation to the State Government.
The new SSG will have over arching responsibilities for handling of government policy implementations and superintending of decisions and operations of government ministries, agencies and parastatals of government Nasarawa State, the stayement added.
Ubandoma is a holder of Bachelor’ of Science from University Maiduguri and Bachelor of Law from University of Jos.
He arose through the ranks as a senior clerical officer with Bank of the North, he was an Education Officer II with the Ministry of Education in then then Plateau State and later the Executive Chairman, Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa state.
Governor Sule expressed confidence in the track record of Barrister Mohammed Ubandoma.
Ubandoma replaces Ahmed Tijani Aliyu who was sacked after having been indicted by the State House of Assembly for misappropriation of N248 million meant for renovation of schools while he was Commissioner for Education in the State.
