
A former lawmaker in Nasarawa State, Kasim M. Kasim, has called on members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly to support the current governor through the enactment of laws that will enhance industrialization in the state.
Kasim, who was a member of the 5th Assembly in the state, made the call while responding to questions from journalists, in Lafia, yesterday.
He reiterated the need for the state legislature to create the enabling laws to support the Governnor Sule-led government actualised its vision on industrializing the state.
According to Kasim, with the right bills from the state assembly, the governor can be confident of using the resources available to execute projects that have direct impact on the citizenry.
“I want to commend those in the state assembly for the good job they are doing.
“But I most also challenged them to live up to expectations by passing into law bills that will support the governor in his determination to speedily industrialised the state.
While scoring the performance of the governor within past few months, Kasim said the Governor Sule-led administration is focused and that the governor is one of the best in the country.
He applauded the efforts of the governor in trying to free the state from depending on federation allocation by opening up revenue generating ventures for the state.
He further called on the members of the State Assembly and, indeed, residents of the state to give the governor all the support the can to enable him succeed.
