The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Godfrey Onyeama has tested positive to Covid-19.
Onyeama in his verified Twitter handle disclosed this on Sunday. He said it was his fourth test since the pandemic started.
He twitted: “Did my fourth Covid-19 test yesterday at the first sign of a throat irritation and unfortunately this time it came back positive. That is life! Win some lose some. Heading for isolation in a health facility and praying for the best”.
653 new cases of Covid-19 was recorded on Saturday bringing Nigeria’s total to 36,107 cases. So far 778 deaths have been recorded.
Lagos State remains the epi-centre of the outbreak with 13,341 cases.
