A private company – Crowd 1 – has expressed its determination to tackle the huge unemployment rate in Nigeria through youth empowerment initiatives.
The Managing Director of Crowd 1, in Nigeria, Mr. Attah Simon, disclosed this to journalists in Lafia, on Friday.
He stressed that the company was committed to reducing to the barest minimum the rising cases of unemployment in Nigeria.
Simon said that Crowd 1 has so far empowered 1.7m people across the globe, noting that his target in 2020 is to empower 100m Nigerians.
According to him “So far, we have empowered 427,000 Nigerians and in Nasarawa state about 100 youths are empowered.
“Crowd 1 is different from other companies because we are benefiting from the global pull.”
He further stated that the importance of Crowd 1 is that it saves one’s investment on the Internet from fire disaster, crisis and wars.
He, therefore, appealed to Nigerians, especially, the youth to start thinking of digital investment and other assets.
