Fire has gutted the Ondo State office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), barely one month to the governorship election in the State.
The fire which started about 7;30pm razed a freight container contains over 5,000 of cards readers meant for the poll.
A senior national commissioner of INEC, Festus Okoye, visited the scene, and said that the cause of the fire, which was still raging at 9:30 pm, could not be ascertained yet.
Speaking on national television, he assured voters in Ondo, that the INEC would mobilise card readers from neighbouring states to make the election goes ahead as planned.
