The Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Bida, Niger State, says it is in partnership with Federal Medical Centre, Jabi, Abuja in providing quality healthcare service delivery.

Is’haq Usman Sarkin Shanun Jere, the Chairman of the FMC Bida Board of Management stated this when he led members of the Board on a visit to FMC, Jabi.

Shanun Jere said that the visit was part of the hospital’s strategies to share experiences for effective and efficient service delivery.

“The visit is desirable and a good opportunity to strengthen synergies for providing high quality healthcare services to Nigerians, ” he said.

Sarkin Shanun Jere added that with increased investment in the health sector by the federal government and the quality of services in different tertiary health institutions in the country, medical tourism would soon be a thing of the past.

He also congratulated Prof. Sa’ad A. Ahmed, the Medical Director, FMC Jabi-Abuja, on his recent appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The board’s Chairman called on the medical director to justify the confidence reposed in him.

He applauded the hospital for some of its unique services, such as the PPP engagements, Private Wing and IVF services, among others, which were rated to be of high standards.

The Board assured the medical director that FMC Bida would emulate some of the operational procedures observed in FMC Jabi for the improved service delivery to its patients and service users.

Earlier, the Medical Director of FMC, Bida, Dr. Mohammed Aminu Usman described the visit as significant for sharing experiences of managing common challenges facing the two tertiary health institutions, with a view to doing better.

He congratulated the management and Staff of FMC Jabi on the appointment of Professor Sa’ad Ahmed as the MD, describing the latter as a thoroughbred professional who had acquired enormous experience as a clinician.

Prof.Sa’ad Ahmed, Medical Director, FMC Jabi-Abuja expressed delight and appreciation to the Management Board of FMC Bida for the visit.

He stressed that it would enhance peer review for effective service delivery in the two tertiary health facilities.

The medical director pledged that the visit would be reciprocated while urging other Boards to emulate FMC Bida for quality peer review.
