A father of two, Lukeman Kabiru, been stabbed to death in Kogi State while trying to separate a fight between a 32-year-old welder, Murtala Dare, and a prostitute.

According to an eye witness, at about 11:00 pm on Sunday, late Lukeman Jabiru was trying to settle crisis when the said Dare, allegedly wanting to fight a call girl for taking a customer behind a building for ‘short service’ at a popular drinking spot around Amusement Park in Lokoja.

Dare, who has been arrested by operatives of the Kogi State Police Command, was said to have interrupted the sex romp and threatened to beat the call girl.

It was, however, gathered that the intervention by late Lukeman to stop Dare from fighting the girl, angered Dare who, instantly, broke a bottle and allegedly stabbed Lukeman Kabiru on the neck.

Dare and Lukeman, according to findings, are neighbors, who own shops opposite the notorious drinking spot where call girls use for their business.

The said Dare was alleged to be notorious for collecting fee for the use of the open space for short time before the crisis arose that night.

However, findings revealed that some aggrieved youths in the area have stormed the workshop of the welder and destroyed his property over the killing.

Confirming the incident, the Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO), DSP William Aya, noted that the suspect was arrested in his hideout at the back of Total Filling Station, Lokoja, and still in custody.
