Former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Elder Simon Achuba, has commiserated with the Ajanah family over the death of their son, late Justice Nasir Ajanah.
Late Justice Ajanah, till his death, was the Chief Judge of Kogi State.
Receiving the news of his death today, Elder Achuba described it as a huge loss to the legal profession, Nigeria and Kogi State in particular.
The former Deputy Governor in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Akor Sylvester, said that the late Ajanah was an accomplished judge, a father, friend, man of character and proven integrity whose contributions to the development of judiciary in the State could never be forgotten.
He said the death had robbed the Nigerian judiciary and Kogi State of a great icon and an astute adjudicator who loved his people and had a passion for his job.
Elder Achuba, while condoling the leadership of the state government, the legal family, Kogi State as a whole over the death of the Chief Judge of the state, said the death came at a time when the state needed him most.
The former Deputy Governor urged the immediate family to take his death as an act of God while enjoining them to emulate his good deeds.
He further enjoined the children to put the death of their father behind them, saying death is a necessary end and it will come when it will come.
